Summary

Yield
Crust

Description:

Makes one 10inch pizza crust.

Preparation time:

30 minutes

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon yeast (Active Dry)
1 cup water (warm)
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon sugar (or honey)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup whole wheat flour (organic, (Use strong in the UK or in the US add a tsp of vital wheat gluten to avoid a dense crust))

Notes:

Or, throw the whole lot into your bread machine, pizza dough cycle and then follow the directions after the rising is done.

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 450°F. Spray pizza pan with nonstick vegetable spray, set aside. In a large mixing bowl dissolve yeast in warm water; add salt, sugar, oil and flour. Mix and form dough into a ball. Let rest for 20 minutes in a warm area.

If you like thinner crust then just rise for 5 to 10 mins and if you like it fluffly and thick then you can let it rise longer. You can shape it and then let it rise before baking. It's really up to you.

Spread and shape dough evenly over pizza pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 350. Remove from oven.

Put sauce and toppings on pizza crust; cover with cheese (if desired) and bake an additional 20 minutes, until pizza is done.
